In class, we watched The Blair Witch Project. This is a low budget film about a group of friends going to a supposed haunted witch spot in the middle of the woods and end up with a series of supernatural events and deaths. The film is a 'Found footage' film, which is filmed as if they actors were recording on a camera, to support the idea of it being real. This was a well crafted film which had many interesting shot types as it was filmed as almost point of view the whole time.
I think the film could have been improved in terms of aesthetics by including edited versions of the horror aspects, but that does run a risk of making the film look less like it was filmed on a VCR.
Overall i believe the film was well done and a big success to those who enjoy horror, thriller or found footage films.
